World Developer's Ultimatum

What is the truth of this world?

This is a question as old as age itself. From our conception, we as humans have pondered the truth behind our existence. What are we? What is this world?

Does there exist a singular idea - a theory of everything - that lays underneath?

Air. Water. Fire. Earth. Ether.

The elements - thus was the first iteration of our truth.

Then came the atom - a theoretical smallest, fundamental particle in existence that made up all matter.

The existence of the atom was proven, but it only gave rise to more questions. The atom was comprised of separate particles. This atom we'd sought as the fundamental particle to our universe was only a portal to a new one - a quantum one.

Subatomic particles were their own world governed by a different set of rules than the macroscopic one. Theoretical and quantum physics were two separate concepts, and thus the search for the theory of everything continued.

We had to look deeper. The nucleus is 100,000 times smaller than the atom, yet we must shrink many orders of magnitude to encounter a more fundamental idea.

Now enters string theory. Everything was made of strings. These strings were one-dimensional objects that vibrated in higher dimensions, and the characteristics of these vibrations dictated the fluctuations in our fields of existence of matter and energy.

But this theory split 5 ways. Everyone wanted to believe their string theory was the correct one, and humanity failed yet again to arrive at a single conclusion.

Now, Earthlings have grazed the tip of the iceberg that is true reality.

Enter M theory.

These 5 string theories were only components of a larger idea.

These 5 elements only dotted the surface of a deep, deep sea of Mystery.

However, progress was being made. Much like the Rosetta Stone of old, M theory determined all 5 languages conveyed the same information. Everyone perceived and interpreted it differently, but the truth was indivisible.

We live in a brain.

Ah, well, it's actually spelled brane, like "membrane". My mistake.

These branes are the fabrics of our reality that span 11 dimensions. The strings were merely branes in one dimension. A string - a line.

Our universe happens to be within a 5-dimensional brane.

But what exactly are dimensions?

We begin at zero. A point - a place with no size. It is nothing. Yet at the same time, from its perspective, it is everything. We cannot have another point in dimension zero because it is all that can exist. Only outside, in a higher dimension, can there be a second distinct one. Now, there are two points. From their perspectives, nothing else exists. But we know this is not true. Since there are two, there must be a way to travel between them. In other words, go from... Point A to Point B.

And there is. We count the infinitely many points between them. A higher existence, one broken free of the clutches of dimension zero. It is a line. We have entered the first dimension.

Now suppose there is another distinct line. No point on this second line exists on the first one. But how is this possible? Lines are made of infinitely many line segments, and all of these segments must be on the line. It's all that exists... within its own dimension. There does exist another line, so there must be a way to get to it. A path that splits another way. Put simply, we must ascend to the next dimension.

Us, as humans, can easily conceptualize the second and third dimensions. After all, it's what we live in. We know how to draw two lines in two separate dimensions, and we know how to connect them. It becomes a two-dimensional existence - a plane. We know how to connect two planes - a space.

For analogy's sake, let's say an ant walking on a newspaper is a second dimensional creature. By folding this newspaper in the third dimension, we allow the ant to "teleport" across the newspaper.

Great. Now what? We live within three dimensions, so it's all that exists.

Right?

But there are other spaces. How do we get from Space A to Space B?

It's easy. You're already doing it. The entirety of our space is moving from Space A to Space B.

The fourth dimension - time.

But as measly three-dimensional beings, we cannot properly visualize time. So, we must make an analogy a three dimensional space becomes a point... in time. And don't we already know how to move from one point to another? A higher dimension - a fourth - a line.

A timeline.

You, as a fourth dimensional entity, are a line segment with your zygote on one end and your corpse on the other. You, as an entity, exist on a timeline as a fourth-dimensional creature. But is that all that exists? No - we move on.

This timeline is all that we experience, yet there is another. How do we get from one timeline to another? Every choice we make determines our timeline. A different choice at the same moment splits the timeline into multiples. Your fifth-dimensional self is this timeline plus all your other possible timelines in this universe, hence our 5-dimentional brane.

But... is that where it ends? No - we move on.

If our universe is a time-plane of possibilities, then are we the ants that walk along this newspaper? And if so, is there a way for us to "teleport" from one timeline to another? A timeline where another choice was made in the past... we can take the long way around by travelling "back" in time and making a change that triggers the butterfly effect, but that's just like walking around the newspaper. It's the long way around. Only if we fold the fifth dimension through the sixth can we instantly travel from one timeline to another. We have broken free of the clutches of our fifth dimension.

I must ask once again, and you probably already know the answer. This is not the end. We move on.

But... how? We've explored all possible timelines in our universe, and we've even folded our universe through a higher dimension to "teleport" from one timeline to another. No matter where we go, even if we extend it towards infinity, we cannot escape the sixth dimension.

However, there is another "sixth dimension" somewhere else. There has to be a line that connects the two, right?

Yes. This sixth dimension, our infinity, is merely a point in a higher seventh dimension line. What is a point? Nothing. But to us, it is everything. But, it is only our infinity. Like mathematics has determined, infinity isn't the end - there are multiple infinities.

Two distinct points have two distinct properties. They are not the same. Another infinite universe is completely different from our own. The only way this is possible is via initial conditions. By changing a certain parameter of the initial condition, we move along the seventh dimensional line.

We move on.

There is another seventh-dimensional line somewhere else. To reach it, we must split off and change a multitude of parameters. To move from one seventh-dimensional line to another, we have entered the eighth dimension.

We move on.

To travel from one initial condition to the next, we must continuously adjust our parameters as if we are turning dials. We travel through these parameters as if we run through a plane of dials. But is there a way to "teleport" from one parameterization to another? How can we reach another plane of dials? To achieve this feat, we must fold through the ninth dimension.

We move on.

... Wait, where are we?

So we've just gone through all possible points in space... all possible spaces in time... and all possible times in... possible times. That's everything, right? Aren't we at a roadblock? All possible infinities are contained within this 10th dimensional point. It is quite literally our everything. Not just physically, but conceptually as well. But if we are to continue the cycle, this point is, in reality, nothing to someone else.

This is where string theory hit a roadblock - it could only count until the 10th dimension.

M theory is different. The truth is, there are 11 dimensions. There is another world out there. Where?

I'll say it again. We live in a brain. We are nothing but concepts to a (Boltzmann) brain of a higher dimension. To break free, we must manifest ourselves as ideas in the higher world. Concepts are nothing in and of themselves, yet at the same time, everything stems from them.

A ludicrous proposition, I know. But everyone who's seen detailed images of the known universe knows there's an uncanny similarity between that image and a brain of our own.

We are concepts. Concepts conceptualized in a brain. Without a brain, concepts cease to exist. Only we can conceive and interpret concepts. Hence the Monolithic truth - we are.

I AM.
